Little new born lambs good. Mint sauce bad

mmmmmmmint sauce
(more people object to eating it than little larry)

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MINT SAUCE PEOPLE? I want answers! Little cute larry the lamb is all very tasty and okay to scoff but for the love of Jesus don't serve him with mint sauce. Is that what you are saying?

Savannah kicked the mint sauce attack of with, "...i'll skip the mint sauce..." Fat Mammy Cat followed with, "mint sauce is blee." Medbh went as far to say, "Mint sauce is illegal in my house." And then The Hangar Queen added, and this made me weep with sadness, "Mint sauce is shit." Good grief! Never before has one simple sauce caused such an out pouring of consternation and all round hate. I'm shocked. Maybe it's just a woman thing. Maybe the men folk like the green minty goodness of mint sauce.........I hope so........

And whilst we are talking about sauces if you are over the age of 10 and able to speak you shouldn't be asking for your sauces by colour. If you want ketchup just bloody ask for ketchup, not red sauce. You are too old to be nominating your sauce by colour if you are in your late 40's. It's a real pet hate of mine. And anyway ketchup with belly pork? You fucking savage.

Only the really big issues make it on to WellDoneFillet......

ehehe. your rage makes me giggle.

Oh, Manuel, this is the sauce that you choose to champion?
Fuck no.
It's like baby food for old people.
Green jelly is the devil's smegma in Fat Mammy Cat lingo.
But thanks for the linkage.

Being of the vegetarian persuasion, mint sauce serves little purpose in my life. Now, if you want to take on Hollandaise.....

I'm doing a lamb shank for dinner today, slow braised in the oven after marinating last night. It'll be accompanied by my home made mint sauce, not that shop bought mint pectin, I mean jelly.

oh, sugar...on this one i have to agree with medbh, i can deal with your aversion to adults calling sauces by color instead of name, yes, that is indeed a worthy rant
...but, this is your line in the sand????

thanks for the link, now go wish my #1 son happy birthday! ;-)

So what should we call brown sauce then?

Yours, Confused of Wiltshire.

PS I Like Mint Sauce. (That's a T-shirt slogan waiting to happen.)

Arse. Completely failed to spot Rosie's erudite comment. Now you all think I'm a halfwit.

I had a google search today for:
"dog poo Mole sauce."
That's one name for a brown sauce.

mmm, strange you are running that poll as I toy with the idea of going veggie at the minute.
Don't know if I could give up the turkey at Christmas tho...

Oh well, red sauce anyone?

Angela: That comment makes me think of Joe Pesci in Goodfellas..."I amuse you? Like how the fuck do I amuse you...' and so on....

Medbh: No mint sauce not mint jelly, that is wrong.....

Boxer: I like the old Hollandaise....

BBB: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Savannah: Lets not fall out over mint flavoured condiments.....

Rosie: One shouldn't ever ask for it when out...ever.....

LBTW: You print em, I'll sell em....

LBTW: As Rosie.

Medbh: Hehehehehehe

Dave: If you have to think about it....plus the farmers of Ireland need all the meat sales they can get.....

Mint jelly - home made - is way better than mint "sauce" which is pretty much mint in vinegar, with sugar added.

Mint (a variety of spear mint I think) grows wild all around these parts. Delish with peas and in cold drinks...

Conan Drumm: Sauce......Also whilst we are sharing fascinating facts did you know I can smoke without sucking a mint at the same time.......

Brown sauce rocks, HP baby, bacon and HP. That mint crap is vile. Who the hell wants toothpaste flavoured lamb? Goblins, that's who. Bleee.
